• I just today installed the latest nextgen gallery (1.1.0) and I still can not upload images. I receive this message after the image seems to finish uploading:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class nggimage in //blahblahblah\wp-content\plugins\nextgen-gallery\lib\image.php on line 9

I have checked my file permissions for the gallery folder and they are set to 777. I look and find that in the gallery it has tried to load an image, but it is broken and it has a wrong date associated with it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Same issue here:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class nggimage in //frigga\home\users\web\b556\as.concretestreet\wp-content\plugins\nextgen-gallery\lib\image.php on line 9

I cannot upload import or upload images…

    pLease Advise.

    _Thanks

When importing images it seems to import only one image and then gives Fatal Error.

Still have not found a solution to this issue.
I create a gallery, start to upload images, the i get:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class nggimage in //frigga\home\users\web\b556\as.concretestreet\wp-content\plugins\nextgen-gallery\lib\image.php on line 9

and the gallery is created, with only one image (w/ thumbnail). then if i try to scan folder for images.. I get same error.. then i go back to manage gallery and there is now 2 images. So apparently it is only bringing in 1 image at a time. Since i have hundreds of images to import this would be a very time consuming affair.

If anyone knows how to fix this issue it would be greatly appriciated.

any suggestions on this yet – – i am STILL having this issue???

    *bump*

Check via FTP if you have more that one nextgen-gallery folder

    a) Delete the plugin folder
    b) upload the plugin again via FTP and reactivate it then

    Just the one folder exists…

?> if my wp_ database table prefix if changed, would it effect ngg?

btw_ thanks for responding .. i am getting desperate to get this fixed..

Where you you get his error message ? at which page ?

when adding images or scanning folder for images.. error comes up and the i go into manage gallery and one image is there with no thumb. I can create thumb.. but then have to repeat these steps to get next image in.

I just deleted all ngg folder and reinstalled.. error still there.

    Thanks’

Mhh maybe some IIS issue… can’t reproduce it here with Apache. Try to update to PHP 5 if possible.

I did update PHP – and it slowed the site waaaaaaaaay down. but I will try again.
    Thank..

ok – after updating PHP… site runs slow.. but tried “scan folder for new images” and got something new.

gave me “pictures added successfully” them went on .. with
status bar still uploading and giving these errors as each uploaded:

    D 192: A failure occurred[more]

    ID 193: A failure occurred[more]

    ID 194: A failure occurred[more]

    ID 195: A failure occurred[more]

    ID 196: A failure occurred[more]

    ID 197: A failure occurred[more]

    ID 198: A failure occurred[more]

    ID 199: A failure occurred[more]

    ID 200: A failure occurred[more]

    ID 201: A failure occurred[more]

    ID 202: A failure occurred[more]

    ID 203: A failure occurred[more]

    ID 204: A failure occurred[more]

but looks like some progress here…
    ??

*added – those errors seem to be when ngg is making thumbnails… but thumbs folder already there… mabey thats the error..

    hrmmmm
