[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Exclude selected images from NexGen Slideshow

My apologies if this topic has been covered elsewhere in this forum. I did a search and couldn’t find any answers.

Anyway, I have a blog where I’m using NexGen Gallery to present silhouetted product photos. Some of the images are much taller than wide, or wider than tall. In those cases, when they appear in the NexGen slideshow I have running in the sidebar, they wind up being severely cropped–in some cases so that they are unrecognizable.

Is there any way that I can selectively exclude just a few particular images from showing in the slideshow? I tried the Exclude checkbox in the MANAGE GALLERY page, but then the images are also excluded from the gallery pages.

I’ve looked through all the options for the plugin, and can’t find any other answers. Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.
