I have activated the Piclens option on the admin page.
When I use Piclens to view pictures that are linked to a post, I also see pictures of other galleries.

For example: I click on the piclens icon at picture 101 (thumbnail tag was used), that picture is displayed with post ABC.
When piclens opens, it shows me the selected picture, but also loads all other pictures from all other galleries.

How can I disable the loading of all other galleries?
Piclens should only open the pictures displayed on the current page.

For now I have disabled the Piclens option all together, as I do not like this behaviour.

  • Have you disabled the Media RSS feed, this will show up all galleries. The [Show Piclens] link should not have this behaviour ?

The [Show Piclens] link doesn’t cause this.
It occurs when you ‘hover’ the cursor above a image in a post.
The piclens icon then appears in the lower left corner of the image.
When selecting that icon the piclens plugin is loaded and all gallery pictures show up in the plugin.

Please look into gallery options (v1.0.2), here you can deactivate the global MediaRSS feed

    Thanks.

Although it seems that this also removes the piclens icon in the lower left of an image on my website.
    Is that correct?

Yep, that’s the price you need to pay. All or nothing ??

BTW : There could be some solution if I add new parameters for the global feed to exclude galleries, but that’s again parameters over parameters… Too much IMHO

Not a very high price. ??
It’s fine the way it is now.

Thanks for implementing PicLens in the first place! ??

By the way: it’s not supported in all browsers.
When hotlinking is disabled, the cooliris javascript viewer doesn’t work.

Actually, I would really, really like to be able to exclude (or include only specific) galleries, as I have galleries on many different topics, that are not of common interest to all viewers.

view in Piclens is a totally broken option now! is this going to be fixed???

ok i figured out the answer…. i was having the exact same problem on 2 different computers…

something attached itself to internet explorer that messed with how view with piclens worked… as soon as i tried it with a fresh internet explorer that hadnt had a chance to be infested the view with piclens worked perfect every time tested on multiple computers, all the piclens problems dissapeared, what exactly was installed or changed that made it not work i dont know but it had to do with explorer…

but if anyone knows how to remove the view in 3d option im all ears ??
