[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] direct link to gallery (no pages, no albums)?

Can you have a direct link to a gallery (default template) without having to put it on a page or associate it with an album?
I moved hundreds of galleries to nextgen, and I do not want to have hundreds of corresponding pages with short codes on them
I thought the permalinks setting might do this, but it still seems to involve /page-x/album-x
This is more like what I am looking for:
https://mysite.com/nggallery/test-gallery OR
https://mysite.com/nggallery/?gallery=test-gallery OR
https://mysite.com/nggallery/?gallery=1 OR
https://mysite.com/nggallery/?gid=1Any help would be appreciated
