[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Description Showing Instead of Alt Txt On Hover (ImageBrowser)

I’d love to start using NextGen gallery, but I like the ImageBrowser option, and when used it shows the DESCRIPTION hovering instead of the alt text. My descriptions are usually long and involve HTML, so this isn’t a great look.

Is there a way to either get it to show the proper alt text or title, or to prevent it from showing anything at all? The only thing I found in by searching the forum was the same question, unanswered, from years ago:
