• I’ve not installed this yet, but am interested. before i use wordpress as my cms, i wanted to know if in the description, you could easily put paypal cart information.

basically, i want a similar setup to the galleries i set up on humantree.com, but don’t want to use that cms.

this is a gallery/portfolio site and i sell prints of my posters and art prints. so, the descriptions are highly needed, but i DEFINITELY need paypal functionality in it as well.

  • I’m working on a new addon with the people from wp e-Commerce

Alex, I think that for this task the eShop plugin might be something worth looking into, because it has seamless integration with WordPress Pages.

Q: Is it posible to make NextGEN Gallery generate actual Pages for each photo? If every photo would generate an actual Page in wp-admin, we we could use eShop to add the product price and features for each photo.

Great idea nirsound – simple solution for now can be:

Modify the “Full Size” link in thickbox-pack.js (located in wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/thickbox/)
[a href='”+url+”‘ title=’Full Size’] to link each photo ID with a WordPress Pages ID somehow…

Anyone has an idea how to do this?

…and of course, in the long run we’d love to see an integration/link between each photo and an actual page.

I’m implementing this method now: adding download at the end of the description, but would like to see another field to put links into it. It might be the soltion for a downloads’ directory I’m looking for.

Any updates on this? I, too, am looking to insert Paypal code into the description field. That in and of itself I’m able to achieve, but I can’t get it to dynamically pull the photo id so I don’t have to create a new Paypal button for every photo.
