[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Database update error

    I upgraded the NextGen gallery and when I try to update the database, I get this error:

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STATIC, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or ‘}’ in /hsphere/local/home/wretched/erinempey.com/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/admin/upgrade.php on line 383

    Can anybody explain what the problem is?
