[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Changing URL without reloading page

I have searched for hours to find the answer to this…
I’m trying to maximize page views by using the imagebrowser function to create new URLs for every pic, but wondering if there is a way of doing this without reloading the page. So in my ideal world, AJAX pagination would be enabled, but the URL would actually change. Any ideas if this is possible?
