[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Can NextGen-Gallery Galleries by searched?

  • I’m trying to make a gallery with products searchable by part-number via either the description or the alt&title text. I’ve tested it out with the wordpress’s built-in search function and it doesn’t seem to look inside the description part of each image.

    Has anyone successfully made their galleries searchable?

    bump. Has anyone successfully enabled the built-in WP Search to bring up items in galleries on the site?

    i too am relying on being able to search my galleries. surely it is possible

    Nextgen gallery can’t be searched by the standard search neither by search-everything. Only the plugin search-unleashed has the option to search nextgen gallery. I haven’t figured out yet how to refine search unleashed to search full words only. If the search term includes a short word with a single letter or two letters for example “on tour” all words containing the letters “on” will be listed as search results (containing, only .. and so on. I find this rather disturbing but couldn’t find a solution how to refine the search to show full words only. Otherwise great plugin which has the option to search nextgen gallery.

    anyone solved this? I like urban giraffe but I’m not a big fan of Search Unleashed…
