[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] AJAX with Carousel template

  • Has anyone figured out how to add Ajax to the NextGen Carousel template?

    I’m using the hack for the next/prev buttons under the main image discussed here, and it would be great if the page didn’t reload each time.

  • I am also interested in making this happen. I like the simple Carousel template for nextgen gallery and as he states on his website it could be optimized for AJAX load. It would be great to get the picture and thumbnails (when you set the Image param and it paginates the thumbs) to also load dynamically without refreshing the page.

    I am also interested in this. Very much so. Made my own template with the Carousel template with a new next and previous button + some other adjustments, but was looking for a way to load images better. JavaScript solutions so far do not seem to do the trick. I need a solution like AJAX to be added as soon as possible.

    Shea Kirk has been working some more on the code. But there seem to be some issues with the listeners.

    This would be amazing. Do you think it would work well on an iphone too?

    Well, it all will be done using AJAX. JavaScript and no Flash so it will work on Iphones as well. But the preloading using AJAX is not done yet and help is still needed…

    Not yet. See link to code posted earlier. Shea Kirk shared it and he got it to work. Maybe you can too and then it could be added to NextGen’s Carousel template as a neat addition. As soon as I get it to work I will do the same.
