[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Adding NextGEN to an admin role

We are trying to add the NextGEN Gallery to a new role for specific staff members. My developer said he read somewhere that we should be using Capabilities Manager to make this happen – but when we select NextGEN to be in a specific role, Capabilities Manager doesn’t save the changes, reverts back to all being set to Administrator. Any suggestions on how we can make this happen? We don’t want to give our client full access to everything, just need to add NextGEN so they can manage photo galleries.
