sorry but i dont know what you’re talking about.
I switched back successfully to 1.6.2 an wait for news about this 1.7.x gallery.

In your WordPress menu under Gallery the very first choice listed is called Overview. Your server settings are noted there.

If you would like to help to debug this just call this link and cehck if you get any error message (you must be logged in your blog) :

Got this:

LOL! these numbers are really big…that is some server, i tell you ??

for instance, i have only:

Ok, found a issue with adding images in strict mode, fixed in V1.7.2
