  • I have this same issue, too. I have put in a support request to upgrade site to PHP5 if it isn’t already.

I’ll try and deactivate other plugins as a test, too.

It was working fine before the 1.7.0 upgrade.

FYI: My ISP upgraded my WP website to PHP5 (on a Sunday!) and the “update database” ran just fine. ??

    Hello
I upgraded to 1.7 two days agon and I am no longer able to upload images to my galleries. After the uploading processes occurs with the progress bar, I get the message “0 picture(s) successfully added”
No matter in I choose the flash or the browser uploader.

    anybody can help ?

    thank you

    Pierre

    Hi,
same as me, front-ed ok, back-end doesnt work.
i was lucky t get a workaround: replace the content of the nextgengallery plugin folder with the old content from rel. 1.6.2 and it works again. question for “need db upgrade” i answered “yes” it work also downwards.
    Regards
    Andi

I appologize the troubkrs, but it looks that you need PHP5 now, Version 1.6.2 should be ok for PHP4

    Alex,
my server is using PHP 5.1.2

    Hi Everyone,

Thank you for all the replies. I am on PHP4 and have no immediate plans to upgrade to PHP5, so will roll back to 1.6.2.

    Cheers
    Charlie

I suggest for all user <5.2 to stay at that version which is running, looks like there are more troubles and useful function

I’ve experienced an issue with NextGen Gallery v1.7.2 and Word Press v3.0.4. Editors were able to create galleries, but when trying to include a gallery to a post, the selection process wasn’t working.

Seeing the trouble I’ve tried to downgrade to v1.7.1, then to v1.7.0 and only when I came back to v1.6.2. the bug disappeared.

I would recommend you to use v1.6.2 for now ??

I am having a similar problem, except after activating the latest NextGen plug-in on a current version of WordPress, my admin backend is just a blank page.

Front-end of the site is fine. I can log in, but all I get is nothing / white.

Is there any way to deactivate or remove the plug-in now that I can’t access the backend of the site? I am not sure if I will be able to get FTP access.

    Thanks for any help.
