I too dont know where to put the code for the image.

    Someone please explain, thanks

yeah, the instructions are half baked IMHO

As I guess, you have to create new custom NextGen template

The simplest way to create template is to copy the code from next-gallery/view/gallery.php to the new template file gallery-yourtemplatename.php and put <?php echo $image->ngg_custom_fields["Your Field Name Here"]; ?> where you need it.

Create directory and upload file to wp-content/themes/your-theme/nggallery/gallery-yourtemplatename.php

@walkside / @millo_2k – Sorry I didn’t spot this thread until now. Did you get it working or do you need help still (I realise this is ages ago, and you’ve probably moved on, just thought I’d check)

@vjpo – You do not *need* to create a new template. But I guess that would mean it won’t get overwritten when you upgrade NGG, so it’s not a bad idea.

@whatword: Half baked? Get over yourself. Can you do better? Because if you can, I will change the FAQ to what you come up with. Seriously.

All plugins in the wordpress repository are GPL (or GPL compatible). You know what that means hey? You’re not completely ignorant about the software you so freely and download and use?
So, quit bitching, and contribute. Give something back other than a bad attitude and long face.
