[Plugin: Networks for WordPress] Network Broken after "Assigning 1 Site" to different Netw

  • NETWORK ERRORS / NEED HELP!

    I have 2 Networks with 15 sites each. Both networks have been active now for 2 years with no issue until now, as I have never “Assigned Site” before from one network to another.

    However, I just assigned (Site A) from Network #1 to Network #2 and now Site A is broken as well as Network #2. These are the error messages now displaying:

    ERROR MESSAGES

    (1) ASSIGN SITE LIST
    In the site list, SITE A now displays this message next to its name (holding.blogs.local) and it will not let me switch it back to Network #1.

    (2) WP-ADMIN URL
    https://www.Network2.com/wp-admin/network/sites.php

    Error Message: “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.”

    (3) WP-ADMIN URL
    https://www.Network2.com/wp-admin/

    Error Message: You attempted to access the “Network 2” dashboard, but you do not currently have privileges on this site. If you believe you should be able to access the “Network 2” dashboard, please contact your network administrator.

    RESOLUTION?

    * Since I need to have access my entire network of sites ASAP, is there a Database Record or File that I can edit manually to return Site A and Network #2 back to their original state?

    * I do keep backups, but my database backup file is 5 days old and I will lose some data if I have to revert back to it, so hopefully there is a easier resolution.

    I would warn anyone against using this “Networks for WordPress” plugin as it has bugs and my entire network is down by simply just “Assigning a Site” to a new network.

    Not only is the site broken, but the entire network is down. It appears that no one monitors this Support Forum to assist in situations like this, so user beware.

    gcedar – you have apparently unassigned your site from any network, that’s why it shows up at holding.blogs.local. I can’t say how it happened, but I have not been able to reproduce any problem with assigning sites.

    Can you describe the process you followed specifically?

    You can restore your wp_blogs table and the wp_[blog id]_options tables for the affected blogs if you want to wind back the clock without losing too much data.

    this just happened to me.. this plugin sucks
