• Hi, just need some help in building my WordPress for a multi domain, multisite setup.

I currently have two domains (more to come) domain1.com and domain2.com (both without www) with domain1.com as the primary wordpress installation.

I was able to setup domain1.com into a multisite wordpress installation using subdirectories instead of subdomains.

I created a site called domain2 which is access via https://domain1.com/domain2com/

Then I installed Networks for WordPress.

I then created the the network domain2.com using Networks for WordPress.

    Problem:

I can access domain2.com directly but when i go to domain2/wp-admin/ and login using the username i created for domain2 site iget redirected to:

    domain1.com/domain2com/wp-admin/

I thought this is ok but the problem is that, all changes i make while in:

    domain1.com/domain2com/wp-admin/

    does not reflect in:

    domain2.com

And there is know way i can login into domain2.com/wp-admin/ since I always get redirected to

    domain1.com/domain2com/wp-admin/

Im using namecheap as my domain registrar and hostgator as my web host. I’ve properly configured the wildcard record (*) to the IP address of my shared hosting server.

Can anyone help me troubleshoot and find whats wrong?

It sounds like you have a mixture of domain mapping and networks going, in which case you probably have 3 distinct sites. Is that right?

Where did you create the username for the domain2 site? Can you log in to domain2.com with your domain1.com super admin account?
