Plugin “Pro” is broken, so is support. Studiopress are no longer supporting this plugin yet their site says they have “World Class Support”.

If they did I wouldn’t have to turn my site portfolio off and look at other plugins to do the job. Lame. Don’t think I can recommend Genesis to my clients anymore.

    Thanks for your comments, @timlh.

Version 1.1 is complete, but I don’t yet have a precise release date yet (it’s in testing and final review). I’m sorry for the delay there.

You are welcome to download the new version of the plugin from this URL in the meantime if you wish:

    https://github.com/copyblogger/genesis-portfolio-pro/archive/master.zip

If you encounter any issues with that version, please feel free to share them here.

The plugin continues to be supported, and StudioPress are monitoring support requests here as well as for those made via the StudioPress help page.

Tried it. No luck with 411 pro theme. The individual portfolio items are no longer mobile friendly. Also the inactive sidebar widget areas remain inactive but text appears.

    Primary Sidebar Widget Area

This is the Primary Sidebar Widget Area. You can add content to this area by visiting your Widgets Panel and adding new widgets to this area.

    Secondary Sidebar Widget Area

This is the Secondary Sidebar Widget Area. You can add content to this area by visiting your Widgets Panel and adding new widgets to this area.

    Thanks for following up.

In my tests of 411 Pro with Genesis Portfolio Pro 1.1, portfolio items are responsive and I see no primary and secondary widget holding text.

It sounds as if your Genesis default layout may have become deselected by mistake? You could try:

    1. Switching to the Genesis theme itself.
    2. Switching back to 411 Pro.

    If that does not help:

    1. Switch to Genesis.
    2. Set the default layout to full width at Genesis → Theme Settings → Default Layout, and save your changes. (If a layout was already selected, try saving the settings anyway.)
    3. Switch back to 411 Pro.

In my tests this solves any layout issues caused by a missing or incomplete genesis-settings row in the wp_options table.

    Thanks Nick:

That seems to have fixed it. That’s very strange because unless I’m sleep coding I have no idea how that became deselected.

Responsive and text is gone so no worries.

    Thanks again….
