• When n3rdskwat-mp3player is activated it adds a # after the domain name that separates it from the page names. This doesn’t seem to be a problem for regular pages but the site I am wanting to use it for has a shopping cart and the # interferes with check out. (Using Checkout plugin)

I had noticed while I did the initial build of the site. I don’t think it is problem with the shopping cart because it was there before I added the shopping cart plugin.

I really enjoy the functionality of this plugin and would like to use it. Any ideas how the # can be eliminated?

  • I am experiencing this too.

How does the player determine the order of tracks? I need to ensure one track is played first and adding 01 or 1 or A etc to the track name doesn’t work?

has anyone figured this out yet? if so, please share. thanks!

Yes, same problem with the pound sign in the URL, would love a solution. Thanks!

Edit: Check it out, it happens to the plugin creator’s website as well.

I guess it doesn’t bother him?

    Hey folks,

Let me explain what it does and why we use it.

Because the mp3player uses a specific functionality that keeps the visitor on the homepage of your website you wouldn’t know what page you really are viewing.
Meaning that if you follow a couple of links inside the blog and you wanted to bookmark or send the page to a friend you would be just sending the home-url of the blog.

The # acts as a sneaky way to add the location of the page you are viewing. Because all the stuff that comes after the # can be changed without reloading the website and can be read by the scripts on the page.

So it is kinda specific and we really do want that functionality to be there on our site.

Have you checked out the configuration options for the mp3player? There is an option to disable and enable randomness of the playlist.

Thanks for answering n3rdskwat. Its by far the best plugin player I’ve come across. I do sorely wish you could find a workaround for that # sign in the URL, though, as I am unable/unwilling to have that # directory in my url. I wonder if I can redirect that from my side?

Best of luck with your endeavors, and thanks.
