  • Julie,

    Twenty Ten is setup by default to display pages using their “menu_order”. Other themes might not be set to use this. Depending if you are using widgets or a plain theme you’ll need to make a change. If you are using widgets you can set the built in Page widget to use the Page Order or swap it for the My Page Order widget with more options. If you aren’t using widgets then you’ll need to modify your theme and make sure you have the sort column set like below:

    wp_list_pages('sort_column=menu_order&title_li=');

    HI. I’m using a theme I designed separately using Artisteer but I’m having the same problem. The My Page Order widget works fine but it doesn’t work on the menu bar. Trouble is I have no idea where to insert the line of code you suggested. Any ideas how I might go about finding the appropriate file? Will it be in the Theme folder or the main WP folder?

    Many thanks

    Toby,

    I’ve had a handful of Artisteer users have problems with My Page order now. The theme itself has a bug that keeps it from working with the “menu_order” pages use. Work around right now is to use the new Navigation Menu built into WordPress 3.0:

    Thanks Toby,
    You are right:) Ended up using the built in Menu Tool which are great.
    All seems to be working fine fingers crossed

    Hi all – an update – Artisteer have released a new version which works fine. It was an Artisteer problem. Current version is 2.5.0.31067.

    Thanks to everybody for your help.
