Thanks for the update about 3.2 jared, I figured it would be ok but haven’t upgraded myself. With the copied template functions it should be fairly hard to break the plugin now. I stayed away from doing that so people could just use the built in functions, but I didn’t have much of a choice this time.

mattio, it should be working. Are you using the widget or a template function call?

The widget definitely broke on the 3.2 update. I was previously using ‘ID’ to order my links from newest at the top to oldest at the bottom. Now that option results in a sort by name, Z to A. Several of the other sort options also don’t work correctly or at all. No caching software, no other source of problems.

    I’m using widgets.

Hmmm. I thought this appeared a minute ago and now it is gone. Andrew said,

If you use wp_list_bookmarks in your theme you have to switch that to mylinkorder_list_bookmarks. Widgets require no change.

    Where do I do that.

    Thanks,

    Len

Still a newbie at this. So which file do I edit to add &orderby=order&category_orderby=order
    And where does it go?

Is it the same file where I substitute mylinkorder_ list_bookmarks?

I really want my content specific links to appear before general stuff and technical materials re bloging.

Of course no one has complained about the way it is now but maybe no one is looking ;(

    Len,

First thing is to be sure you aren’t using widgets. Are you working on your mother’s site? https://www.lgrossman.com/trudel/

That is using widgets so you would actually just need to go into Appearance -> Widgets and swap the Links widget with the My Link Order widget.

    Hi Andrew,

I spent a lot of time trying to drag those widgets around on my iPad.. Editing this blog has really taught me a lot about what I was beginning to think was an expensive toy..

Then I opened the my link order edit field and noticed the activate button button. D’oh. Then I found the same functionality in the old links widget. Voila! Problem solved. Thank you so much.

I think my side bar now makes more sense to me..and after all I look at it more than anyone else. ??

    Thanks again.

    Len

I am using the Suffusion theme, which uses Widgets. I have been using your Plugin for a long time, and have read the posts about the problems with the latest WordPress update, but I still can’t figure out what’s going on with mine. I have downloaded your Plugin update, but for some reason have not been able to get it to work. When I add My Link Order, nothing is showing up on my sidebar. When I use the plain old Link widget, they show up fine.
    (My blog page is travelingtexasduo[dot]com)

Just wanted to add that it seems extra weird because I also use your “My Page Order” plugin, and it seems to still be working fine.
