[Plugin: My Calendar] How do I put Events in the main content area?

Can I show Upcoming Events in the main section of my index page, for example, and not just in a sidebar? I am a little conversant in WP but get confused when people start using the term widget, which seems to suggest that I can only insert My Calendar into sidebar.php
