• I am using WordPress MU 2.9.2. and I have a main blog and one other blog as a subdomain. I downloaded, extracted and uploaded multipost-mu.php to wp-content/plugins. It doesn’t appear on my plugins panel. I did the whole thing again in case the file was corrupt, but no luck. Any ideas?

    Hi Ann,

Since the current version of the plugin has been updated to work with WordPress 3.0 which incorporates the older WPMU features you may need to download an older version of the plugin to work with MU 2.9.2. Hope this helps!

I upgraded to 3.0 (been putting it off for ages in fear of some glitch) and now it does work and helps a great deal.

The only downside: it removed the line breaks I had in excerpts to make the archive pages nicely organised listings:
    https://food.kinsale.ie/category/restaurants/
    versus
    https://kinsale.ie/category/places-to-eat-drink/restaurants/

Wonder if this is just the way it is or is there something I can do to make this happen?

Maybe it has something to do with the theme I am using. I may be able to get around this by using the Google default excerpt but – oh, it also didn’t take my featured image that’s used for the thumbnails.

Is that common for everyone, or something to do with my theme?

    Glad the upgrade helped!

I don’t think the plugin would remove line breaks from an excerpt.

Feature images are not currently supported, but it’s on the feature request list, so eventually you might see it supported, especially if somebody wants to sponsor the development of that feature.

    Hope this helps!

Hmmmm, how much would it cost to sponsor that, cos it may be worth my while ?? thanks for the help!

Hi Ann, I’ll look into it and get back to you…
