Hi,
Thank you for reaching out to us. I’ll address the matters below:
- But when someone open our site with vpn in India they see everything in USD
>> It’s worth noting that this feature works with user account only. For testing purpose, you may use incognito mode (like a first time visitor) for an exact result. Because it detects once when the customer visits the first time, after the system has location data, it won’t detect again.
E.g. you checked this feature with IP in Australia first, then you changed the IP to India and just refresh the page to see if the currency changes along – the location data is already saved, so our plugin won’t check the location again when you simply refresh the page. You may need to clear all site and browser caches to see the change.
When I checked this today, I saw it detected the correct currency for my IP: https://nimb.ws/csnDBC5 and https://nimb.ws/VFyqRBn
With INR, I used VPN to test: https://nimb.ws/NC9VzQW
- paying through Paytm in USD but we are receving amount in INR. Means INR15 in place of $15 (Inplace of the converted amount in INR)
>> I tried with a test order, after clicking Place order, the popup appeared and it asked to charge me in INR: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1uK1r9XKfwXhIiNd6rAWMxGjnWWzF2Pln/view?usp=sharing
But when I tried another test order with USD, it kept loading at the order received page like this: https://nimb.ws/OUDX7xm
For this, if addressing the first matter with Auto select currency is enough for you, please check again on your end as suggested if CURCY detects the correct location and shows the associated currency.
And, if you want to dig deeper the second issue with payment method – Can you try deactivating CURCY and set INR as default currency, to see if it persists?
Best regards.
