• The site user went ahead and upgraded to WP 3.0.1 and then upgraded all plugins including More Fields on their own. As a result we lost the custom post types which I have recreated using More Types.

I recreated the relevant boxes and fields using More Fields but now if I convert the posts back to their custom post types, the custom fields are just showing up under the usual WP custom field area and the fields in the More Fields boxes are empty though the names are the same. Is there a way to have the data show up in the custom boxes?

It should just show up if you use the same key.

Look in the custom fields section, is the data still there?

When I look at the posts, the data is there. but if I switch the post-type from post to the custom type, the data vanishes. The custom fields have the same names.

What I meant was: If you look at a post when you’ve switched them from post to a custom post type, is the data there in the admin?

If so it’s a presentation problem.
