• Hi, I am using the Modal Dialog plugin, which has worked pretty flawlessly for me. I have used three which all function fine. However, on my fourth attempt, the popup does not show. Some facts:

-The “Only show on specific pages and single posts” checkbox is greyed out
-I am attempting to display the dialog on the same page a previous one was on
-I deactivated the previous one, but still the new one does not display
-This is for the front/main page

    Thanks for any assistance-

  • I think that the main problem is that the lookup algorithm stop searching as soon as it finds a page that has a dialog association. Where are you trying to do the assignment? Could you potentially give me admin right to your site? You can use the contact form on my personal site to send me login information:

Hi I have been using the Modal Plugin on my local site and it has worked perfectly however as soon as i migrated to the server it was not poping up. i would really appreciate your help in trying figure out what the problem is

here is my site address https://protrainerlive.com/

I get a Javascript Error on the line of code

    jQuery(document).ready(function() {

    Thank You

    Hi Bentos,

Were you using the same theme on your development server and on the live server? looking at your page, some of the Modal Dialog output is missing. Do you have wp_head() and wp_footer() function calls in your site header and footer theme files?

If you do, then something in the settings is preventing the dialog from showing up in this installation. I would need to see a screenshot of your settings to determine the problem, or get access to your admin panel temporarily. If you choose the latter, you can send me login credentials from my site at ylefebvre.ca

    Hi,
I’m having a problem with the plugin as well. It works just fine in safari &internet explorer but in Firefox on a pc, it is opening up as a new page.

I’m using an iframe with an email grab inside the modal.

    my site is:
    https://www.claireodette.com

    the version of firefox is
    Mozilla/5.0 Firefox/3.6.23

    Thanks!

Wow, that’s quite an old version of Firefox. Can you try upgrading to a newer version. They are at version 9.0.1.

    1 ) I am using Modal Dialog on https://www.chitrangana.com/consulting/ecommerce-consultants/ .

    > The dialog is coming automatically.
    > In right side bar, on “contact us” images we have give the link of same modal dialog which is working fine.

2 ) Next, after the installation of Modal Dialog Plugin, WordPress admin menu ajax not working, If I disable the plugin then it works fine.

    Thank You in advance.

It happened to me as well. It was working nice, after the weekend I cannot get it anymore, and nothing changed on the site.

I cannot find any error in the JS console, nothing.

From what I can see, the problem is that you are using two options that are conflicting with each other.

I think that you have set the option called ‘Period to display dialog (every # page loads)’ to a value of 5, and that you checked the box called ‘Show once per session’. This says that the dialog should only appear once every 5 page views, but then says that it should only try to display it once in a session.

This makes it only show up after you open and close your browser 5 times and go to the page. I tested it and it did show up after that many times.

What type of display schedule are you trying to achieve?

    Hi there
I can get the pop up to show but… I am also using a plug in for cookies. when you click on no or yes it refreshes the page and the pop up box disappears.

I have got the show once per session unticked, Period to display dialog (every # page loads) is set to 1, Display on front page is ticked, Number of days until cookie expiration is 0 – I don’t know what else to do.

    Any ideas?
    Thanks
    Alex
