    I’ve noticed that on a test website, the mobile performance degrades pretty significantly, after activating the PWA plugin – https://pagespeed.web.dev/

    As you can see, there’s a drop of 11 points on mobile (computer performance is unaffected).
    Is there anything that can be done to minimize this performance hit?

    Also, keep in mind that this drop is with WP Rocket optimization active.
    If I disable the caching plugin, then the score is tragic… ??

    Environment:
    WP 5.9.2
    Elementor 3.5.6
    WP Rocket 3.10.9
    PWA 1.3.0

    Thanks!

    Hi @tanohex

    Could you update into 1.3.1 and re-test.

    Please consider to visit page, before test – to give transients cache api change to set … cache ??

    Truly speaking I did not observe any side effects when I turn of my plugin, but, I hope now it will be better.

    Please let me know.

    @iworks Thanks for the update.
    However, v1.3.1 seems to have broken the PWA Add to home screen prompt. It doesn’t appear anymore, not even when I open the website in an Incognito tab.

    As you can see, the worker doesn’t seem to get loaded anymore.
    Can you please confirm?

    Maybe it is some cache on your site?

    There was warning in 1.3.1 – maybe it broke. I fixed it now.

    Please test https://5o5.iworks.pl/ on https://www.seochecker.it/pwa-tester-online

    Could you add your site url?

    @iworks Works good now.
    I had to clear the entire browser cache (cookies and everything).

    Also, the performance seems to have improved a bit (although I’m still getting some mixed readings from PageSpeed Insights, but yeah, it’s the cache hit).

    Thanks!
