    Good morning David.

Looking for some solutions you are providing already I found the built-in alternativ sorting algorithm for LR guys in the plugin mentioned above.

You may remember, I am using Lightroom and WP/LR sync). My sorting field in Lightroom is stored in LR field Job ID which is equal to iptc:2#103. I’ve created an custom field and a mapping rule as follows

    Name update_menu_order
    template value template:[+iptc:2#103+]
    Existing Text Replaced
    IPTC/EXIF Mapping Enabled
IPTC/EXIF Mapping when adding new media Enaled
IPTC/EXIF Mapping when updating media metadata Enabled

    My experience so far
    * WP/LR Syncing does not trigger an update of the standard menu order field
    * Update of menu_order is successful through mapping iptc/exif metadata via bulk edit area.
    * It seems not in every case iptc:2#103 is populated. Verification done through
    Standard field Description, template:[+iptc:ALL_IPTC+]

If you have some spare time, perhaps you can help me out?

    Stay healthy.

Thanks for working with me offline to investigate and resolve this issue.

I have released MLA v2.93, which includes an update to the “MLA Simple Mapping Hooks Example” plugin that adds support for the WP/LR Sync synchronization processing.

I am marking this topic resolved, but please update it if you have any problems or further questions regarding WP/LR Sync support in the example plugin.
