I am having a problem trying to get the slideshow working correctly.

I have it set for the exact dimensions of the slide, yet it is cutting off the top and bottom. Looks like a good 70 pixels cut. Looking in firebug, the height is set to 200px for the images. No idea why as they are all 272px.

It looks like it is creating its own version of the image that is 621×200. I have no idea why or where I can change that, but it is calling slide3x621x200.jpg instead of slide3.jpg.

I have the slideshow embedded in the php so I am not using short code.

I wrapped it in a “slide” div to position it where I wanted it.

You can see the site here.

    Thanks.

Hi netviper, did you upload any of these slide images before setting the height to 272px on the slideshow settings?

Just did it again from scratch.

    These steps.

    1. create slideshow (homepage)
    2. set dimensions 621×272
    3. add featured images.

Same problem. It is making all my image links 621x200px.

I can make it work using firebug to change the height and image file it calls – but i can’t make it work for real.

Strange, everything looks fine in the source code. When you add the featured images, are you re-uploading them, or adding them from the media library?

    I tried it both ways.

I just did it again uploading from the computer. That seems to have worked.

    Bizzare.

Maybe the first time you uploaded the image was before the height was set to 272?

The featured image size is generated when the image is uploaded, just like the other WordPress media sizes, so unfortunately when the dimensions are changed it doesn’t affect any images that have already been uploaded.
