• Hi Josh,
Sorry if this is a duplicate but I can’t find where my question posted. First, thanks for the super plug in and all your specialized support of it. My issue is with many jpgs showing up in my upload folder for 1 slide. I have a meteor slideshow in my header with about 16 jpgs, and it seems various sizes for each of those jpgs in the slideshow have downloaded into my upload folder. For example, for a slide called vaerdal.jpg, I have a vaerdal-48×48.jpg, vaerdal-96×96.jpg, vaerdal-64×64.jpg and so on and I don’t know where they came from.
    Thanks in advance,
    Greer

Hi Greer, there should be a few different sizes for each you upload to the media library. First, there is the original version, then WordPress generates three sizes by default: thumbnail, medium, and large.

Meteor Slides generates two image sizes for the featured images, one for the slide image and for the slide thumbnail that is used in the admin.

That already brings you up to six different sized images! If your theme uses post thumbnails, it will also generate one or more additional images.

So if you are seeing 7 or 8 different sizes for each image you upload, that is normal, but if it is 10+ there might be an issue. Don’t worry though, those are just stored in the media library taking up a little space on a hard-drive, but one size of an image would be loaded on your site at a time so it doesn’t pose a performance problem.
