    You can get the metadata of the slide images to load the title, alt text, or other content, but I wouldn’t recommend doing this unless you really have to. It is hard to manage the content of the slide captions because you can’t edit it directly from the slide posts, you have to go dig in the media library for the slide images.

    If you need a short caption, no more than a sentence, the slide title is the way to go. Otherwise, if you want a paragraph of text, I would add excerpts to the slides and load those as slide captions. Take a look at this thread on adding excerpts to Meteor Slides for more info.

    Often I’ll use both to have a caption with a headline and a blurb below it.
