[Plugin: Meteor Slides] Crossrider involvement with meteor slides

    I’ve installed this plugin and enjoy it a lot. One thing I noticed, on the day that I installed this plugin, was that there was a single white pixel on the far left. I checked the source code and found that it referenced a Crossrider stub app. My understanding is that this Flash object is used in the plugin, and that it is safe.

    However, I was running Malware Bytes today and it was coming up with Crossrider app entries as “infections”, which had me doubling back on my experience with my meteor slides install and I need to put at ease that MWB is being overprotective. I do not want to be infecting the computers of every visitor to my site. I include the link now, but be aware that this is where the issue is. https://www.relicsoforr.com

    Hi coehl, the Crossrider stub app is not a part of Meteor Slides. The slideshows are powered by jQuery, there is no Flash used by or included with the plugin.

    I don’t see Crossrider on your site, but the first thing I would check is your podcasting plugin, as it is the only one I see on there that uses Flash.

    I appreciate the speedy response. After finishing my MWB scan, I noticed that the code on inspection was much different and cleaner than Chrome was showing me before. I’m concerned that these elements were actually being applied to my browser, client side, and trying to remain hidden. Now I need to be sure of what’s going on. For later people that stumble here on searches, I’ll post an update later.

    As an update, I checked the code in Opera and it was clean as a whistle. So nobody else was seeing what I was. There was, apparently, some extension in Chrome that I’d enabled that may have been compromised and was more than likely obtaining a lot of my info, but it was no risk on the webhost/website side.

    I apologize for even suspecting this amazing plugin especially, it is very nice and I will be using it for years to come. ??
