Not sure what happened! I had a post with a slide show in that specific post – Under Brand fotografie, which was all flower slides. Then I wanted to add another slide show as a widget in the left side column. Now the past post slide show is the SAME as the side column slide show! What happened? Can I not add more then one slideshow? I went to ‘add new slide show’ formatted the pixels and added all new slides (new names and a new header). Please advise asap! Thank you!!

  • Hi Angela, the slideshow in the sidebar has a slideshow specified, but the one in this post does not. Update the shortcode with the slug like this and it should work:

    [meteor_slideshow slideshow="slideshow-slug"]

I’m not sure I follow. How did I mess up the post slideshow? Am I pasting your above link right back into the post?

The post slideshow is fine, but it looks like it is not specifying a slideshow, so it will load all the slides, not just those in a specific slideshow. Did you create two slideshows, one for the post and one for the sidebar and add the slides to these sidebars?

The first slide show I named “Today’s Inspirations”, First I created the size (pixels) I wanted, then titled it and added about 7 slides. Then I grabed this link [meteor_slideshow] from your site and pasted it right into the post. It worked until I did this:
    1. adjusted pixels to fit new sidebar show.
    2. added new slideshow name (left slug and parent blank)
    3. clicked save and then uploaded pics of new ones I wanted for the sidebar only, making sure they were attached to “Angela’s Lookbook”.

Then I reviewed the first slideshow and noitced it was the same as the sidebar.
Now I’ve removed the link [meteor_slideshow] from the post. Not sure what I did to mess up the fist show and cannot seem to get it back…

If you are using multiple slideshows, each slideshow needs to specify a slideshow, only use the default shortcode, [meteor_slideshow], if you just have a single slideshow, as that loads all the slides, not the ones from any specific slideshow.

I spotted another issue too, you changed the dimensions in the slideshow settings, those affect all the slideshows, so when you change that it will change the size of all your slideshows.

When you have multiple slideshow of different sizes, this is a bit more advanced and it needs to be setup a bit differently. take a look at this tutorial on adding multiple slideshows with different sizes to learn more.

OK, thank you. I’ll look at that tutorial.

To put back the post slideshow(with same size for now ),where do I get the shortcode for that specific slideshow? Or do I need to start over?

I think I just got it corrected from your earlier link. Didn’t realize I had to put the title slug in where you said “slideshow-slug’. I’ll have to remember that!

Thanks for your help! Appreciate the fast response! I’ll let you know how the multi shows in different sizes goes..

    Thanks again!

No problem Angela, I hope the tutorial helps!
