• I have installed the plugin and have gone through all the instructions. I did a test subscription and it brought me to paypal, I purchased the subscritption, but when I came back to the site it did not update my user level or subscriptions. Doesn’t it make sense that the plugin should do this automatically? I don’t want to have to go into each sign up to change their level manually. What could I be doing wrong?

  • Hiya!

Can you log into PayPal and check your IPN log?

That would suggest that PayPal is unable to ping Membership to let the plugin know that the payment was successful.

    Thanks,
    Phil

Where would I find the IPN log?

Membership provides a log of transactions at Membership > Edit Gateways (Membership > Payment Gateways in the upcoming version), where you select the “View Transactions” option.

Could you let us know how that reads?

    Thanks,
    David

    DavidM,
The transactions say “No Transactions have been found, patience is a virtue.” I went onto Paypal and found the IPN, so I will get that updated and try it again. Thank you for everyone’s help.

After logging into Paypal, it ask for a “Notification URL” under the Edit instanct Payment Notification (IPN) settings. What would I put as the Notification URL? Just the Domain name? Or does the plugin require a particular URL address?
