  • I have recently encountered this as well. While I believe that JetPack offers a superior set of features and ease of use, MediaElements.js provides the HTML5 Player with flash as a fallback. It appears that JetPack’s Player is strictly flash-based which can be a problem for Apple device users.

The conflict comes from both plugins using many of the same shortcodes. There are two simple options for handling this:

1.) Use the alternative [mejsvideo] & [mejsvideo] shortcodes instead.
2.) Goto Dashboard > Click “JetPack” > Find “Shortcode Embeds” > Click “Learn More” > Click “Deactivate”

The second option will allow you to use the [audio] & [video] shortcodes through MediaElements.js

    Hope that helps.

Also, you can use MediaElement.js’s alternate

This post just solved my problem and made my day.
    Thanks!
