[Plugin: Media Library Categories] Plugin is duplicating itself in the plugin dashbaord

  • Please verify the plugins directory in first time, do you see 2 folders media library categories ?

    I am not entirely sure what you mean by “first time” but – No, there is only one ‘media-library-categories’ folder in the plugins folder: wp-content/plugins/media-library-categories

    But again, the plugin appears twice in the PLUGINS DASHBOARD.
    Dashboard > Plugins > Installed Plugins

    Additionally if I delete only one of the instance of the plugin in the dashboard they both disappear. So technically it isn’t duplicating itself but it is slowing the site down.

    I just figure out why this happenend….
    When I went to apply the fixes from the other post in media-categories.php I made a backup of that file and titled it media-categoriesBU.php in the same folder. This is what was causing it to show twice in the dashboard.
