[Plugin: Media File Sizes] caching?

  • I did some simple timing tests with caching, and it turns out that getting the size from the filesystem is already lightning fast and caching at the WP level was un-necessary, so it’s calculated fresh each time. (‘fresh’ is subjective – the php function used to reference the filesystem is cached at that level)

    It calculates the total size for each Media item – not your entire library.

    Your entire library already takes all generated sizes into account when displaying your space used on the dashboard.

    what I meant was that if I go to my media library and i have i.e. 30 pages of media, does it start calculating the sizes for all items on all 30 pages or just for the page I am on? ??
