• Hi,

First of all, thank you for a great plugin. However I do have a question, is it possible to specify whether a equation using the [latex] tag is rendered as inline or display?

I know I could just use \[ or \( however I find the [latex] notation easier to read and I prefer not to have to use the [mathjax] tag in every page in which I require equations.

I noticed in the settings you can set the default display for the [latex] tag, so I have set this to display, as this will do for most of my equations, however every now and again I would like to display something inline.

For the moment I am just using the [latex] tag for all my display math and then just using \( for the inline. I was just wondering if this could be done by passing an attribute to the [lates] tag for example?

    Thanks,

    Ryan

  • There is another plugin – WP QuickLaTeX which allows to use native LaTeX commands directly in the text with proper rendering of display and inline equations.

Besides we (yes, I’m author) support
    – equation auto-numbering,
    – usage of custom packages (actually you can set up the whole LaTeX preamble with custom commands and packages),
    – correct vertical alignment of the inline formulae,
    – flexible adjustment of rendering properties (font size, color, background color, etc.)
    – caching and many more…

Also QuickLaTeX supports [latex] tags for compatibility.
