• When I go to my Plugin Management page in 2.5 (I think this happened in previous versions as well), even though there is a newer version for a plugin that I wrote, it does not show as needing to be updated.

What would be the cause of this?

I have v1.1.1 installed and v1.1.2 is the most current. I have “Version: 1.1.2” in the main php page.

I’m wondering…the “name” of the plugin is “SimpleModal Contact Form (SMCF)”, which creates a plugin folder of “simplemodal-contact-form-smcf”. Does the main php file need to be named “simplemodal-contact-form-smcf.php”? Currently it’s just “smcf.php”.

The plugin update checker only looks once a day or so. Or maybe 12 hours. Not sure on that one, but I do know that it doesn’t look every single time.

I don’t think the name of the file matters much. Now, *changing* the filename from one version to the next *might* break it.

    Thanks Otto42.

The filename has been the same all along. I’ll check again tonight to see if the update notification kicks in.
