Plugin makes the CPU of my server overloaded.

    Hello, I have been testing this plugin for a couple of days and decided I will install it on all of my websites. It is working really well however it overloads my VPS server. Usually the load of my server is at LOW or NORMAL (1-2) wehatever that means. But, when using this plugin it goes up immediately to up to VERY HIGH (50!) when active on all websites. I have the option preload on mouse hover only activated. Any idea what might be wrong? Thanks.

    @narubi use a cache plugin.

    I haven’t seen any users reporting issues when they’ve set it to “preload only on mouse hover”

    Are you sure? I have about 15 websites with daily page views of 30,000+ combined, all on one VPS. I could really see a huge difference with the plugin activated Vs deactivated.

    I am using W3TC and I get 98 score on GTMetrix BTW.

    I can’t see the high CPU usage at the moment. It usually happens only during evening hours. Maybe it could be caused by the recent WordPress updates. I will try to enable it again on all sites and see if it’s better.

    @narubi you have a lot of links that are very close together. So along with ‘Preload only on mouse hover’, increase the ‘Mouse hover delay’ to a higher number.

    Great idea, I have changed it from 0 to 200 ms, Hopefully this will help. Thanks a lot!
