Plugin makes it impossible to edit pages as of WP 5.2

  • We currently are not using Dynamic Pricing, so we were able to just disable the plug-in to avoid the problem. When we updated to WordPress 5.2, editing a page would result in the message “Updating failed” and we would be left in the editor with no changes applied to the page. We had version 3.4.2 of the Basic plugin enabled. By selectively disabling plug-ins we were able to determine that with this plug-in enabled, we would get the error and with the plug-in disabled, we could edit pages.

    Given the status of this plug-in, we will delete it from our site and find something else if we need dynamic pricing in the future. I am entering this report for information purposes only.

    PHP version is currently 7.2.13, but we were running an older, 5.x, version of PHP when we discovered the issue. Server is LAMP.
    We are using a child theme of Oblique

    I had the same issue. Here’s the error message:

    PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to a member function get_cart() on null in /home/xxxxxx/public_html/xxxxxx/wp-content/plugins/dynamic-pricing-and-discounts-for-woocommerce-basic-version/public/new_calculation_handler.php:79\
