Anyone know why this might be? …and I have to select “No Access” to get the white screen, otherwise my site is displayed in full.

This might be it, might want to include in FAQ.

Nope spoke too soon, still a blank white page after logging out in activation state (and clearing the cache).

Something to do with what the blog is set to display in the ‘Readings’ section?

So far not one of the maintenance mode plug-ins have worked with my site in 3.01 – I think this is the one with the most hope!

I have exactly the same problem with Maintenance Mode 5.3 on one server with WP Super Cache Version 0.9.9.6 (and the error log message reads:
” PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function get() on a non-object in /my/directory/wp-includes/cache.php on line 93, referer: https://my.domain/”

No such problems with WP Super Cache Version 0.9.9.6 and Maintenance Mode 5.2 (so I’ve gone back to 5.2 for the moment)

Yet Maintenance Mode 5.3 works fine on my development machine without Super Cache… so I installed Super Cache 0.9.9.6 on my dev machine and voila blank white page ?? when Maintenance Mode is activated.

Short term fix, when Maintenance Mode is active, turn caching off, or go back to Maintenance Mode 5.2.

Problem regarding Super Cache plugin is resolved, please update to Maintenance Mode plugin version 5.4.
