I use the latest Mailpress and WordPress version. I have been doing some test mails while I adjusted the team. No problems until the last mail. It hangs and pending mails cannot be deleted. When I checked the log I saw this (part of Mailpress log):

2009-12-07 10:06:06 000000 -- PHP [E_STRICT] 2048 : date() [<a href='function.date'>function.date</a>]: It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. In case you used any of those methods and you are still getting this warning, you most likely misspelled the timezone identifier. Been reading some stuff online, but have not figured out the issue yet. Anyone?

This log ended with status true so that should mean all went well. How come I don’t get any e-mails then?

I just had to pick a batch number (amount of emails per batch) and an interval and now it works!

I just added mailpress and it comes up just fine, but it seems like database functions are not working properly. The plugin worked just fine on my dev laptop, but now when I go to enter a user, it process and then shows no users. The only info I have that might help is when I try to run a test email the log generates this:

    000000 — Connecting to jrmason_wp (MP_Mail)
    000000 — Connected (MP_Mail)
000000 — *** ERROR *** Database error, Mail not saved : You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ” at line 18
000000 — LOG ended with status : FALSE
    000000 — **** End logging **** mailpress *** MP_Mail *** level : 0

I’d love to get it working, but for now my solution has been to sign up for the free MailChimp account – 500 users and 300 emails/month works for me.

i have the same problem and have never been able to get this batch thing to work. 800 subscribers and a constant “pending” status

    and what is “MP_Mail *** level : 8191”

    2010-02-10 11:26:20 000000 — **** Start logging (4.0.2) **** MP_Mail *** level : 8191

This thread is tagged as resolved !

I have the same problem. eMail send to 1183 subscribers, but still “pending” after 2 hours….?!?

    Can somebody help?
