[Plugin: MailChimp Widget] Cookie duration and redirect

  • Cool plugin!
    I’m using “Widgets on Pages” to place your MailChimp Widget on a page… Works fine!

    What is the duration of the cookie that’s set? Can it be changed? Where?

    Also, is it possible to add a redirect so that if the form has been submitted (i.e. the cookie set), you will be redirected to a particular page? Both on submitting as well as upon return to the page with the MailChimp Widget.

    That would be *way* cool! (and handy!)

  • The cookie is set for 365 days and unfortunately the plugin author didn’t provide any hooks or options to change that. If you want, you can modify line 217 of lib/ns_widget_mailchimp.class.php, but your changes will be overwritten whenever you upgrade the plugin. See the setcookie() documentation for more info.
