[Plugin: MailChimp List Subscribe Form] "Turn Off" Required Field Text

Is there any way to turn off the text that reads “* = required field” .. and the “*” next to my two fields?

I am just having them enter a first name and an email address and don’t want that extra bit of text on my form. It seems fairly straightforward on my form you need both of these typed in before you click “subscribe.”
