[Plugin: MailChimp List Subscribe Form] Subscribers Aren't Updated on MailChimp

  • I’ve installed the plugin and connected it to my MailChimp account. From the user experience, it seems to be working great. When you fill out the form and click submit, you get a success message. If the email is already on the list, it produces a duplicate message saying that.

    It wasn’t until I logged into MailChimp that I realized there was a problem. The test emails that I’ve submitted are not getting updated on the MailChimp side. I’ve deactivated/reactivated the plugin, tried taking away the javascript functionality. Nothing has helped to feed the names to Mailchimp.

    Any thoughts? I’m using Headway as my theme in case that makes a difference.

  • Have you clicked the link in the confirmation emails sent? I’d guess not.

    As dumb as I feel now, that was it! I was using a fake test email and didn’t realize it was a double opt-in widget. when I use a real email, it works. Thanks!
