[Plugin: MailChimp List Subscribe Form] Remove spacing from form

Hey there!

This one left me scratching my head for a little bit. However, I think we’ve got it.

I was only able to replicate this same behavior when I used the shortcode in a widget area. I added two extra line breaks in the widget area and that’s what caused the awkward spacing between the title for the widget and the actual form. However, if the shortcode is the first thing in the widget area, that should alleviate any extra spacing issues.

Aaand as soon as I posted that, I realized I missed something vital.

I had to disable the “automatically add paragraph tags” to get things to work.

Thanks for this, unfortunately I am not adding it in a widget. I am using a shortcode within anther shortcode. I am assuming that is the problem.

Hmm… that’s definitely weird!

Once i disabled hat automatic paragraph tag option, things seemed to fall back into line for me. Unfortunately, I’m afraid I haven’t been able to replicate it past that.

Thanks for releasing this useful plugin.
Well I have to deal with the same problem, but I simply inserted the short code in a page (a dedicated register page) and this empty space is really annoying …

Unfortunately, the only immediate solution would be to forego the plugin and instead go with MailChimp’s embedded form.

Definitely not ideal in this case, but, it will allow you some more flexibility as the code is directly editable and style-able (is that even a word?) right there in the editor.

If there’s anything else we might be able to help with, give us a shout.
