• Hi there,

This is the second time I’ve had this problem with the plugin. Last time, I found an alternate solution. This time, I thought I’d see if I can make this work.

I am designing a site using previewdns.com before we link the domain and hosting and actually launch the site.

Half the time, I am able to optin with a new email and half the time NOTHING happens when I click “join”.

I have cleared my cache and tried different browsers.

    Help.

    Hey there, Jaimemerz!

I had a look at the site, but wasn’t able to replicate the same behavior that was described. When I click “join”, it refreshes the page and I get the success message right above the “Email Address” field. Was there a specific browser that you’re seeing this behavior with?

So far, things seem to cooperate with Chrome 19, Firefox 13, and Safari 5.1.5, from what we’re seeing.

If you do continue to see this issue, please don’t hesitate to give us a shout back. We’ll be happy to continue to dig.

    Cheers

    Hi there,

I changed a few things around yesterday and it seems to be working now. I tried various current browsers before basically unchecking all of the settings in the widget:

    Use Javascript Support?
    Use Javascript Datepicker?
    Monkey Rewards?
    Custom Styling?

I did run into this issue on another site, like I mentioned, and before thinking to uncheck anything I found another solution. Could these options have been my problem? Have you had anyone else reporting a similar thing?

Thanks so much! Its a great plugin and a great service.

    Hey again!

Generally, our plugin is set to yield when there might be conflicting javascript on a page and degrade gracefully. However, it’s possible that given the right set of circumstances, that could fail. While the Monkey Rewards and Custom Styling options deal more with the appearance of the plugin on the site, disabling the javascript isn’t a bad call — especially if you’re not using a date field in the list.

If you do run into any other issues, please don’t hesitate to let us know!

    Cheers
