• Hi we’ve installed the plugin to our website but at the moment only “email address” is an option to fill in. We need to add others like firstname, lastname, address, etc.. how do we go about that?

  • It sounds like you are using the embed code that we provide for your list. If so, there are options for selecting fields inside the app where you generated that. If you are having problems with it, contact our normal support team.

If you are actually using this WordPress plugin, there are options near the bottom of the configuration page to select which fields to display.

no I am using the WordPRess plugin; can you let me know where I can find this configuration page? are you referring to editing the mailchimp.php file?

by the way the plugin is already installed.. is there a way to get to the setup/configuration page without having to reinstall?

I’m keen to add Firstname, Lastname, plus address fields (as optional)

ps the website where it is installed is https://www.southasianlitfest.com
    many thanks

MailChimps settings page is in Settings section of your WP dashboard sidebar. It says MailChimp Setup. The you can allow which fields to show. But adding extra fields (address) needs to be done inside MailChimp.com dashboard for that list.

great, thanks for that, all sorted with firstname/lastname.
I can’t work out how to get the user to a landing page where they can add their address details if they wish.. is there a direct link I can send them in the “thank you for subscribing” email, perhaps?

or is there an easier way? at the moment my address fields ARE enabled but the user cannot access it.

You should be able to do that from Lists page, just go into your list’s form and there you can add fields and at the top it provides link to page subscription.

The plugin doesn’t currently properly support address fields. You should be able to using a *|PROFILE|* tag in your welcome email. If you have problems with that, contact our normal support staff.

jonslack, I’m currently trying to do the same thing on my website. I love how your sign-up form is a drop down from the menu bar. Very nice!
