I have a similar problem to a few already posted.

The form is set up and connected to Mailchimp correctly and the plugin log indicates the subscriber has been successfully added to the Mailchimp list but the subscriber never shows up in Mailchimp and the opt-in emails are never sent. It has been over 6 days. I have tried multiple email addresses.

(Form is in in the footer)

    Hey @authentictech,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

I tested the form and got the double opt-in email from MailChimp.com. You can check the screenshot at https://www.dropbox.com/s/kojotqq06dg3nua/Screenshot%202020-09-01%20at%202.53.14%20AM.png?dl=0.

There might be some issues with your email in case you are trying to sue the same email multiple times. All errors would be logged at the “MC4WP > Others” page.

    Hi @hchouhan

    Thanks for testing it.

The other email addresses I tried yesterday were actually added after a while.

The first one which I tried to add last week never was added even though I have never used it before on this list or even on Mailchimp.

Although the plugin works with the 3 other addresses I tried, do you have any idea from your experience why one email address – never used before with Mailchimp – isn’t added to Mailchimp via the plugin even though the plugin says it was added successfully? I am still concerned that some subscribers might find their addresses are not also added.

I noted this in your FAQ:

If you use the same email to test one or multiple forms in a short amount of time Mailchimp might temporarily block your email from signing up to any Mailchimp list.
Trying another (fresh) email address often solves this issue

…but the first email address is still not being added now a week later.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hey @authentictech,

Since you have enabled “Double Opt-in” before any email is added to the list, you will need to confirm your email.

As I said, the double opt-in emails are never sent from Mailchimp, but when we switched to single opt-in, the offending email address was added to the Mailchimp list.

I presume the problem is with Mailchimp, then, not with this plugin. We will have to reluctantly stick with single opt-in for now.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hey @authentictech,

When I tested this, I was able to get the email from MailChimp.com. Sometimes based on the email provider it’s likely that the email is not received or gets into the spam folder.

When you set up your email in MailChimp.com, it’s important to add SPF records to verify that the email is sent on your behalf.
