[Plugin: LockPress] So far… so good

  • So far, the plugin seems to be working well. I’m really looking forward to seeing the manual.

    One thing that would be nice would be able to offer the user multiple payment options. For example, I would like to offer my users a one time fee (say for one week or one month) as well as a recurring monthly subscription rate. It seems that I can only offer one or the other.

    I am going to hold off on rating this plugin until after the manual comes out, because I feel the need to learn more about how it works.

    This is a nice tool, for sure.

    After having done some experimentation, I didn’t find the capabilities of this plugin to meet my needs. For example, allowing for multiple levels of subscribers such as Free, Basic, Full Access, etc. Also, it doesn’t keep track of things like subscription cancellations.

    I got in direct contact with the developers. Smart, friendly, helpful. I’ll keep an eye on this plugin and their other products, for sure.

    By the features you said you are missing, it looks like that you are looking for a plugin able to runa a membership site over wordpress. Lockpress probably did not met your need because is not really a plugin dedicated to such a task. It was mainly developed for people looking for an easy way to make money by selling access to certain posts or pages in their blogs (and can be extended to runing simple membership sites or selling digital products). Based on the feedback we will get from users, we will consider enhancing some features of the plugin, or add new features. Feel free to always send us your feedback

    The price is reading as 0 USD and an invalid value is being passed to paypal. Is there a fix for this issue?

    Yeah, it was a little problem with the plugin with decimal numbers but they fixed it since. I’ve been using it since then with no problem.
    So get the new version and you’re set.

    It would be great if it were modified for membership payments and then only let members do certain things like download files or combine it with other plugins to handle the other step.
